POOL TOURNAMENT

Here at the Isle Of Capri, our pool tournaments have been growing and growing in popularity.  Some of the best pool players in Polk County are coming in for our pool tournaments.  These pool tournament generate quite a lot of excitement and interest, and they move along quite rapidly.  With the exception of the Saturday 8 ball game, the Isle of Capri matches half of the purse.  On the Saturday 8 ball game, there is a guaranteed purse of $100.

We have quite a lot of pool players that come into the Isle of Capri, and it is quite easy to get into a pool game at almost any time of day.

One day I was in the Isle of Capri  when one of the best players was challenged to a game of 8 ball, by a younger player.  The younger player racked the balls and Mike broke and ran the table. The younger player racked the balls again and Mike proceeded to run the table again. You could see the look in the young player face as he was making up his mind to play again or not, finally he racked the ball again.  Mike broke an ran two balls and missed the third.  the young player took a shot and missed, and then Mike ran the rest of the table. the young player didn't rack them any more.  (True Story)

Come on down and test your skill,  you will enjoy it a lot.

The Isle of Capri is a proud sponsor of four pool teams to the American Pool Players Association - commonly known as the APA.  In fact one of our teams won the Polk County Local Team Championship this year (2015) and in August will be going to Las Vegas to participate in the world's largest amateur pool tournament.  We are very proud of them and hope they can win some money there.  To give you some idea of how big this tournament is, here is a picture of the game room in Las Vegas. If you are into pool or would like to be, come on down.
